Pregnancy Hemorrhoid FAQs
Start with constipation prevention: eat 25–30g fiber/day, drink plenty of water, and stay active. Use a footstool when on the toilet, avoid straining, and don’t linger. For relief: 10–15-minute warm sitz baths 2–3×/day, witch-hazel pads, cold packs, and loose cotton underwear. If needed, ask your OB about short-term use of a topical anesthetic or low-dose steroid, plus stool softeners like docusate or PEG.
